Dash & Door
This photo shows the misalignment of the dash and the door before the repair. The dash appears to be 3/4" below alignment of the door.
The dash panel had dropped nearly 3/4" over the years. To correct this problem and raise the dash to the correct height, both door hinge supports are cut and using a jack the dash is raised to the correct height.
After raising the dash to the correct position, the top of the door and the top of the dash panel will be aligned correctly.
After the dash is raised to the correct height, the repair is fiberglassed in place.
Great job on the alignment!
Door has been installed after raising of the dash.
As with the driver side, the passenger side door alignment with the dash was about 3/4" off due to the dash having dropped. The door posts on both sides were cut and raised into alignment then fiberglassed securely in place.
Taken from the inside, you can see how the dash has dropped.
